Will Buxton is a leading motorsport broadcaster, journalist and New York Times bestselling author, widely recognised as one of the most influential voices in modern Formula 1. With more than two decades covering the sport at the highest level, he has reported from over 300 Grands Prix and become a trusted authority for fans worldwide. From pit lane reporting to anchoring global broadcasts, Will has shaped how audiences experience elite motorsport in the digital era.

Will’s career began in 2001 with GrandPrix.com before he joined F1 Magazine in 2002. His editorial expertise quickly elevated him to Editor of GPWeek in 2008 and later Editor at Large of GP International. Alongside his print journalism, he built a broadcast career that saw him report for the BBC at Wales Rally GB in 2005 before moving to the United States in 2010 as a Formula 1 pit lane reporter for Speed Channel. He later transitioned to NBC Sports, covering both Formula 1 and IndyCar, establishing himself as a versatile and authoritative on-screen presence.

In 2018, Will was appointed Formula 1’s first Digital Presenter, leading the sport’s official online platforms and transforming its digital storytelling. From 2018 to 2024, he became the central face of F1’s digital coverage, helping to expand its global audience and deepen fan engagement. He also became a prominent figure in Netflix’s documentary series ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’, where his insight and analysis helped bring the drama and complexity of the sport to millions of new viewers. In 2025, he was appointed Lead Anchor and Play-by-Play Announcer for IndyCar on FOX, marking the next chapter in his broadcasting career.

As an author, Will has demonstrated the same depth and passion for storytelling. His 2019 book ‘My Greatest Defeat’ became an immediate international bestseller, while ‘Grand Prix: An Illustrated History of Formula 1’ achieved New York Times bestseller status in 2024.
