Shivani Uberoi is a trailblazing leader whose mission is to build workplaces where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. Her diverse career journey began in finance, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, but she soon followed a more purpose-driven path, championing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in both corporate and societal spaces. Shivani first made waves at Sky, where she led transformative initiatives to advance gender equality. Appointed as Head of Women in Leadership in 2016, she spearheaded a company-wide push for gender parity across its 26,000-strong workforce, established the Women@Sky and Multiculture@Sky employee networks, and helped Sky become the No. 1 most inclusive employer, a recognition backed by multiple external awards including the WISE Award presented by HRH The Princess Royal.

As the founder and director of The Wallflower Academy, Shivani now works with organisations to create inclusive cultures through storytelling, coaching and masterclasses. Her social enterprise reinvests its profits into charities such as Pregnant then Screwed, underlining her commitment to meaningful social impact. She sits on the boards of Agenda Alliance and Careers after Babies, playing a key role in shaping policy and practice around gender and parental equality. A TEDx speaker, Shivani’s talk How fitting in will screw you up explores the psychological cost of hiding one’s identity to feel accepted, drawing on her own experience as a British South Asian woman navigating male-dominated corporate spaces.

Shivani’s sessions are renowned for being both practical and deeply inspiring. She combines her professional insights with her lived experiences of parenting a child with additional mental health needs, discussing how true inclusion must encompass wellbeing. As a qualified executive coach with a certification in neuroscience, she places human behaviour and the brain at the heart of culture change, encouraging leaders to drive allyship from within. Her engaging style has made her a popular speaker and event host, appearing on platforms such as Sky Sports News, various podcasts, and media panels.

In 2024, Shivani was a keynote speaker at the WalkMe On Tour event, solidifying her reputation as a sought-after voice in the DEI space. She currently serves as the Inclusion Lead for the England Cricket Board, advising major clients such as Comcast, NBCU Universal, and HMCTS. Her passion is fuelled by her desire to see her two daughters grow up in a more inclusive world.
