Jonathan Olufowobi is the CEO of MIPAD, Most Influential People of African Descent, an author, researcher and emerging global leader dedicated to advancing opportunity, representation and professional development. Appointed CEO at just 25 years old, Jonathan has progressed rapidly from research intern to organisational leader, demonstrating the value of initiative, continuous learning and taking responsibility early in a career. With experience engaging international institutions, universities and business audiences, he is hired as an inspirational leadership speaker to share his perspective on young leadership, career progression, representation and empowering the next generation to recognise their potential.

Jonathan strengthened his international outlook by completing a Master’s degree in International Business at the University of York. In 2020, he joined MIPAD as a Research Intern and, within just five months, progressed to Research Lead, beginning an impressive rise through the organisation. He subsequently broadened his commercial experience, working as an SDR for Watchmycomputer.com before joining GRAYCE as a Senior Project Analyst in 2022. Returning his focus to MIPAD, Jonathan became Global Head of Research in 2023, taking greater responsibility for the organisation’s work recognising and connecting influential people of African descent around the world.

In 2024, Jonathan reached a major career milestone when he was appointed CEO of MIPAD at the age of 25. In this position, he has continued the organisation’s work connected to the first and second International Decades for People of African Descent, as proclaimed by the United Nations. Jonathan further expanded his influence in 2026 with the publication of Tips from the Top, which became an Amazon Top 10 title within the Career Advancement and Professional Development category. Through his leadership, research and writing, he has developed a platform centred on professional growth, global representation and creating pathways for emerging talent to learn from established leaders.

Jonathan is hired as a speaker for his compelling perspective on leadership, ambition and accelerating professional development. His progression from intern to CEO provides audiences with a powerful example of what can be achieved through initiative, adaptability and purposeful career decisions. Jonathan has spoken at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, SOAS University of London, the University of York as an alumnus and the UK Black British Business Entrepreneurs Conference. Combining international leadership experience with practical career insights, he inspires audiences to pursue opportunities confidently, develop their influence and recognise that meaningful leadership is not determined by age or seniority.
