Gregg Stevenson is a Paralympic Gold Medallist, achieving victory in the PR2 Mixed Double Sculls at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games alongside Lauren Rowles. Before embarking on his remarkable sporting career, he served as a Royal Engineer Commando, but his life changed dramatically in 2009 when he lost both legs following a devastating IED explosion. Despite this life-altering event, Gregg refused to let adversity define him. Through sheer determination and a steadfast commitment to exercise and work, he rebuilt his life, demonstrating the power of mental resilience, perseverance, and a positive mindset. As an inspirational leader, Gregg captivates audiences with his story, offering valuable insights into overcoming challenges and pushing through life’s most difficult moments.

Following his injury, Gregg faced the arduous process of rehabilitation, learning to walk again with prosthetic legs. His journey exemplifies how a strong mindset and relentless work ethic can drive personal transformation. In 2013, he became an ambassador for On Course Foundation, advocating for injured veterans. His passion for sport led him to rowing in 2018, beginning at the Invictus Games. In 2023, he made history with a Gold Medal at the European Championships, another Gold Medal at the World Championships, and a World Best Time in the PR2 category. His outstanding performance earned him the prestigious title of Athlete’s Athlete of the Year. Gregg’s achievements illustrate his ability to rise above adversity, proving that resilience and commitment can lead to exceptional success.

Beyond his sporting career, Gregg is a strong advocate for mental health and veteran support. Holding a BSc in Sports and Exercise from the Open University, for which he was awarded the Disabled Veterans Scholarship, he has worked extensively with the NHS. As a Mental Health Practitioner for Op Courage, he developed innovative coping strategies to support veterans struggling with their mental health. His role as a Lead Physical Training Instructor at the NHS’s Specialist Mobility Rehabilitation Centre further reflects his dedication to helping others rebuild their lives. Additionally, his experience as a Programme Executive for The Prince’s Trust allowed him to guide young people towards education, training, and employment, reinforcing his commitment to inspiring positive change.

Now serving as the Veteran Lived Experience Lead for the NHS, Gregg plays a pivotal role in ensuring that veterans, reservists, and their families are actively involved in shaping healthcare services. His impact and contributions have been recognised at the highest level, earning him an MBE in the 2025 New Year’s Honours list for his services to sport. As an inspirational leadership speaker, Gregg draws upon his personal journey to motivate and empower others, making him the ideal choice for corporate events, team-building workshops, and leadership seminars. His story of resilience, perseverance, and adaptability resonates deeply with audiences, leaving them with a renewed sense of purpose and determination.
