Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu is a prominent British-Nigerian lawyer, author, and activist known for her outspoken advocacy on social justice, political reform, and human rights. A passionate campaigner and articulate public speaker, she regularly addresses issues such as women’s rights, diversity and inclusion, race relations, and British politics. Her work reflects a deep commitment to equity and justice, making her a powerful voice in both academic and media spaces.

Dr Shola holds an impressive array of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Law from the University of Buckingham, an LLM from the London School of Economics, and an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge. She is qualified to practise law in both the UK and New York and has held senior legal roles in major financial institutions such as Citibank, Schroders, J.P. Morgan, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Her corporate background is complemented by her involvement in leadership and legal education, mentoring students and advising on diversity within the legal profession.

She is a regular commentator on platforms including Sky News, CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, and France 24, and was a long-time contributor to The Huffington Post (2016–2019). In 2016, she founded the Women in Leadership publication, where she continues to inspire and empower women pursuing leadership roles. Her book, Why I Resist, is a bold and urgent call for anti-racist action from individuals and institutions alike.

Beyond the media and legal sectors, Dr Shola is deeply involved in activism. She teaches intersectional feminism to asylum seekers through Women for Refugee Women and helped organise the Women’s March London. She also chaired the Institute of Directors Inclusive Business Roadshow in 2019 and previously held roles such as Executive Board Director at the Centre for African Business Education and Co-Chair of the African Committee at the American Bar Association. Through her ongoing work, Dr Shola continues to challenge systemic injustice and champion the voices of marginalised communities.
