Chris Oliver

A former Special Boat Service Operator and Royal Marines Mountain Leader, Chris spent 16 years serving in UK Special Forces, operating in environments where decisions carried life-or-death consequences. Born and raised in Sunderland, Chris joined the Royal Marines at just 16. He progressed through nine years of service before qualifying as a Royal Marines Mountain Leader, one of the most demanding specialisations in the Armed Forces, requiring advanced navigation, endurance and the ability to lead teams in extreme terrain. He then passed Special Forces Selection and joined the Special Boat Service, deploying on operations across Afghanistan, Iraq, Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland and Oman. These years shaped Chris’s leadership philosophy, respect, preparation and leading by example.

Chris completed 16 years in UK Special Forces before transitioning into senior civilian leadership roles in 2015. Alongside his television work as Directing Staff on ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’, he serves as a Non-Executive Director at Frankton and holds a Director role within a global financial institution, leading international teams responsible for executive protection, travel security and event risk management. His reputation is built on calm authority, disciplined standards and the ability to guide teams through uncertainty.
