Cassie Kozyrkov is a globally recognised leader in artificial intelligence, decision science and organisational transformation. As the CEO of Kozyr, an Innovation Advisory Council Member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Google’s first Chief Decision Scientist, she is widely credited with founding the discipline of Decision Intelligence. Cassie’s academic and professional journey has been defined by exceptional breadth. Beginning university at the age of fifteen, she studied at Nelson Mandela University before pursuing doctoral work in both Neuroeconomics at Duke University and Mathematical Statistics at North Carolina State University. Early roles at the University of Chicago’s Centre for Cognitive and Social Neuroscience deepened her expertise in human behaviour, economics and decision processes. In 2014, she joined Google as a Statistician, advising over two hundred teams on analytics and training more than twenty thousand people in effective decision-making. She later became Technical Director of AI and Data, Chief Data Scientist in the Office of the CTO and ultimately the company’s first Chief Decision Scientist, playing a pivotal role in driving Google’s shift towards becoming an AI-first organisation.
In 2023, Cassie founded Kozyr, where she now advises global C-suite leaders on AI strategy, analytics culture and responsible innovation. Her influence extends across sectors, having supported organisations such as NASA, Vodafone, Gucci, Home Depot, HSBC, Lenovo and GSK.
